We’re still the platform you know and love, we’ve just made some enhancements to our role profiling feature, as well as the introduction of Thomas Assess and Thomas Connect. Now you can more easily match the candidates to your job role and improve hiring accuracy at the same time.
We know how brilliant people science is, and the incredible things it can do for people at work, and we wanted to make that as clear, and user-friendly as possible.

So, what does this mean for you?
You can easily choose the most important characteristics for the role in Thomas Assess, which will help you prioritise what’s important based on what you need when you build the job role profile. When you invite your candidates to take our assessments, the personality and behavior assessments will automatically be sent together.
This means you don’t need to worry about linking to assessments – it's been done for you.
Having the personality and behavior assessment results is the best way to see key insights to a candidate's strengths – directly related to the characteristics of the role. And when it comes to comparing the candidates to the role, it’s really easy to see who comes out on top. Helping you filter the best candidates more quickly.
Comprehensive candidate report
Our candidate report goes further to give you everything you need to make the most accurate hiring decision. Where the candidate ranking gives you a snapshot of your top candidates, the report provides deeper insights. All 9 characteristics are included, which means you get a more complete picture. And if there were other characteristics you wanted to evaluate for the role, they’re all here in the report.

In summary
The Thomas platform (formerly Perform Recruit/One) has been improved to include:
- Introduction of enhanced role profiling capability: easier and more accurate candidate matching to roles, candidate comparison and ranking.
- You’ll see our new products, Thomas Assess and Thomas Connect, within the new navigation.
- Our branding has been updated which includes new logos, colours and fonts.
- Easier to use organisational switch within the ‘top bar’, avatar menu and personal settings.
- Dynamic dashboard, allowing you to access to either Thomas Assess, Thomas Connect or both.
- Enhanced user journeys throughout the platform.
Frequently asked questions
When will these changes be happening?
You’ll see these changes w/c 18.11.24 but we’re here to help you get acclimatised to the new look and user experience before that happens and show you how these improvements benefit you.
What if I prefer the old way of comparing candidates to the role?
If you watch the video, you’ll see there’s a way to ‘toggle’ between the old and new. But we’re confident you’ll love the new and more accurate way, so the toggle will be phased out in the future.
How are the ratings for characteristics calculated?
The ratings for characteristics are calculated using scores from the Behaviour and Personality assessments. It’s therefore crucial for candidates to complete both Behaviour and Personality assessments, so we’ll include both on the candidate invite for you.
